CASE STUDY FAMILY RANCH

Case Study Family Ranch - Stock Plan

The case study family ranch is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a 2 car garage meant for a typical American family. A guest suite with a full bath is included at the rear of the garage. Full front and rear porches extend across the length of the home to provide sheltered exterior space for residents. The interior is divided by an open plan great room and kitchen. The ceiling soars to a fenestrated roof cap bringing light to the center of the home. The master bedroom is split to one side of the great room for privacy.

The exterior can be finished in cement siding, barn wood, specialty panels, stucco or stone over 2x6 wood frame construction. Roofing can be standing seam metal, composite asphalt shingle or slate tile. Interior flooring and cabinetry selections are by owner's choice. The foundation calls for a monolithic, turn down down pour without a basment. An 8' plate height and prefabricated wood trusses provide for maximum economy.

The home is designed for maximum energy efficiency according the 2018 International Residential Code.
