CASA CORAZON RESTAURANT

Casa Corazon Restaurant Design - Phoenix, Arizona

The Casa Corazon is an existing restaurant located in the "Barrio District" of Phoenix, Arizona. The original house was built in the 1920s of "Phoenix Red Brick". The bricks were formed from the clay of the Rio Salado and cast in kilns located not 5 miles away. The original house has been preserved and augmented with patterned, Artisan concrete tiles brought from Guadalajara, Jalisco.

The new addition brings a modern dining room, bar area and outdoor fireplace to the property. The parking lot has been enlarged for additional customers. Local artisans will provide murals to bring the local Barrio culture to life. Exposed wood beams, raw steel, rustic brick and concrete floor tiles are used to bring contrasts of texture and color while reducing required maintainance of the building. Lighting strategies are fully explored in three dimensional renderings, walk thrus and animations. No detail is left to chance, as the owner has achieved over 40 culinary awards in the last two years.
