CEILO LOS CABOS RESORT

Luxury Resort / Condominium Design - Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico

Cielo Los Cabos is slated for a hillside parcel over-looking the Marina Cabo San Lucas. The view is to the East over the Marina, to the last hills before the famous Arch and out across the Gulf of California. The building is designed to emphasize and celebrate it's relationship to the expansive view in every way. An "infiniti pool" catches a sheet of water falling from above and drops out of site on it's distant edge. Minimalist forms rise to the North and West to create residential units fully open from North to South capturing ocean cross breezes while maximizing the potential of each unit for a distant ocean view.

Arrival is assumed to be by car. A vehicle enters the auto court and is driven below into an on-site parking garage. Residents ascend to their units and circulate across exterior hallways and platforms to access individual living spaces. As movement through the building occurs expansive views develop and dissolve into the passing of the day. As locals willl tell you, time seems to slow where to desert meets the sea. The design is an Architectural case study in resort living.
