Mountain House I - Project - Steamboat Springs, Colorado

James Easton, AIA NCARB Architect

Principal - Elk River Studio - Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Mountain House I is a study by an Architect in mountain residential design.  Meant for a hillside lot in Steamboat Springs, the plan descends a hillside orienting the interior spaces out to the distant view.  The Architect placed main living areas are on the upper level aligned with the vehicular entrance on the mountainside of the lot.  Bedrooms and secondary gathering spaces are on the lower level.  The materials are natural stone, heavy timber and corrugated corten steel siding.  The roof is dark grey slate overhanging exterior walls to divert heavy snow fall from the foundation.

The presentation is done by the Architect in Autodesk Revit.  Three dimensional modeling and construction documentation simultaneously developed to deliver exceptional quality in the finished Architectural product.
